The Liver Channel of Foot Jue Yin begins from the plantar side of the little toe of the foot, goes obliquely through the center of the planta (Yong Quan KI.1) to the lower surface of the tuberosity of the scaphoid bone, passes behind the inner ankle, and goes up to the rear edge of the inner surface of lower leg, at Three Yin Intersection Rp.6 intersects with Spleen channel of Foot Tai Yin and Liver channel of Foot Jue Yin, rises along the inner side of the tibia to the inner edge of the popliteal fold (Yin Gu KI.10). Then the channel rises along the posterior medial edge of the thigh to the tail bone, where it meets Du Mai vessel at the Long and Rigid GV.1, from which starts the internal course of the channel. Rising along the inner surface of the spine, the channel penetrates kidneys.
The first branch from the kidneys goes down, connects to the bladder and leaves, connecting at Zhong Ji CV.3 and Guan yuan CV.4 of Ren Mai vessel, rises, passes the liver, diaphragm, enters the lungs, passes the trachea and reaches the tongue.
The second branch comes out of lungs, connects to the heart, goes into the chest, where it connects to Pericardium channel of Hand Jue Yin.
The Kidney Channel of Foot Shao Yin is associated with kidneys, bladder, liver, lungs and heart.
