Meaning

Fourfold Fullness. Point cures four overflows: 1) tumors, hardening below the navel, hernia; 2) accumulation of blood in the uterus; 3) cold in the abdomen; 4) accumulation of water, ascites.

Localization

On the lower abdomen, 2 cun below the umbilicus, 3 cun superior to the superior border of the symphysis pubis, 0.5 cun lateral to the midline (Shimen CV. 5).

Functions

Strengthens the kidneys and liver, expels the cloudy liquid.

Intersection

The point of intersection of Kidney Channel of Foot Shao Yin and Chong Mai vessel.

Indications

- Reproductive system: dysmenorrhea, leucorrhoea, infertility, severe recovery after childbirth, spermatorrhea, pathological emission, impotence.
- Digestive system: diarrhea, constipation, stool disorder in the syndrome of lack of consistency between the liver and stomach.
- Urinary system: urinary retention or uracrasia, white urine (Gao lin syndrome), edema.
- Features: eye redness with swelling, umbilical hernia, severe cutting under the navel, imbalance between Chong Mai and Ren Mai vessels.

Needling Method

Puncture perpendicularly 1 - 1.5 cun. Cauterization.
