The Bladder Channel of Foot Tai Yang starts at the medial angle of the eye (Jing Ming BL.1), rises through the forehead, and connects at the point of Shen Ting GV.24 with the vessel Du Mai, then swerves and goes over the head, 1.5 cun from midline, connecting again with the vessel Du Mai at the point Bui Hui GV.20.
The branch of channel from the point Bai Hui GV.20 falls to the temple (Qu Bin GB.7), followed by the bladder channel of Foot Shao Yang up to the point of Wan Gu GB.12.
The main trunk of the channel from point Bai Hui GV.20 enters the skull and binds to the brain and then emerges at the nape, where it joins with the vessel Dai Mai point of the Nao Hu, GV.17.
On the border of the scalp at the point of Tian Zhu BL.10, the channel is divided into two parts.
The first branch passing through the points Da Zhu GV.14 and Tao Dao GV.13 is along the spine at a distance of 1.5 cun laterally from the posterior midline, on the lower back in the area of point Shen Shu BL. 23 enters into the body, binding to the kidneys and bladder. Following the lower back, the channel passes to the gluteal region, and rises up to the level of the sacral holes, going down to the coccyx, from where it is directed to the middle of the gluteal fold and along the back of the thigh (Wei Jung 40).
The second branch from the point Tian Zhu GL.10 runs along the spine from the midline to the buttock area, where at the point Huan Tiao GB.30 crosses with Gall bladder channel of Foot Shao Yang, then descends along the back surface of the thigh to the point of the Wei Zhong BL. 40, meeting with the first branch.
After connecting the branches, the channel descends along the surface of the lower leg, goes to its lateral side and, bending behind the lateral ankle, passes along the outer side of the nail, reaches the lateral side of the base of the nail (Zhi Yin BL.67), where it is connected with the Kidney Channel of Foot Shao Yin.
Bladder Channel of Foot Tai Yang is associated with kidneys, bladder, brain and heart.
