The Gall Bladder Channel of Foot Shao Yang starts at the outer corner of the eye (Tong Zi Ziao GB.1), rises to the corner of the forehead (Han Yan GB.4), then descends to the point of He Liao SJ.22, then in the BTE region, where meets San Jiao Channel of Hand Shao Yang at the point Jiao sun SJ.20, passes behind the ear to the mastoid process of the temporal bone (Wan Gu GB.12). Then channel rises up behind the ear, goes anterior border of the beginning of the scalp that falls on the forehead, reaching the point Yang Bai GB.14, located 1 cun above the eyebrow, then goes straight to the occipital area (Feng Chi GB.20), falls on the side of the neck to the upper surface of the shoulder to the point of Da Zhui GV.14 of Du Mai vessel. After that, the channel penetrates to the abutment fossa to the point Bin Feng SI.12, and from there-in the supraclavicular fossa to the point Que Peng ST. 12.
The first branch of the channel starts behind the auricle in the area of the mastoid process, where it connects to the point Yi Feng SJ.17 with San Jiao Channel of Hand Shao Yang. Then it enters the ear, comes to the surface in front of the ear, connecting at Ting Gong SI. 19 with Small Intestine channel of Hand Tai Yang, through the point of Ting Hui GB.2 in front of the ear at Xia Guan ST. 7 connects with the Stomach Channel of Foot Yang Ming, reaches the area of the outer corner of the eye (Shang Guan GB.3) thus forming a loop.
The second branch of the channel is separated from the outer corner of the eye (Tong Zi Ziao GB.1), falls down to the point Da Ying ST.5, connecting with the Stomach Channel of Foot Yang Ming. Then the branch rises to the infraorbital region, where it joins with a branch of the San Jiao Channel of Hand Shao Yang, descends to the angle of the mandible, passes the point Jaw Bone ST. 6, connecting with the Stomach Channel of Foot Yang Ming, descends to the neck to the supraclavicular fossa, where the point Empty Basin ST. 12 connects with the main trunk of the channel.
From the supraclavicular fossa starts the inner branch of the channel, connecting in depth at the point of Tien Chi MS.1 with the Pericardium Channel of Hand Jue Yin, perforates the diaphragm, reaching the liver and gallbladder, inside passes the hypochondrium, descends to the inguinal fold and at the pubic bone deviates outward to the point of Huan Tiao GB.30.
The surface branch from the supraclavicular fossa descends to the armpit, goes along the lateral part of the chest, passing through the point of Zhan men F.13, the point of the posterior to the junction with the Bladder Channel of Foot Tai Yang at the points of the Ba Liao V. 31-34. After that, the branch approaches the point of Huan Tiao GB.30, where it connects to the inner branch of the channel.
From Huan Tiao GB.30, the channel descends along the outer surface of the hip, knee, Shin, and from the Yang Jiao GB.35, down the anterior margin of the fibula reaches the point of Xuan Zhong GB.39, passes anteriorly from the outer ankle, goes to the rear of the foot and ends at the outer side of the base of the nail IV toe at the Zu Qiao Yin GB.44.
On the back of the foot, from the point of Zu Lin Qi GB.41 the branch of the channel departs, heading between the I and II of the metatarsal bones to the outer side of the thumb, connecting to the point of Da Dun F.1, at the base of the nail, with the Liver Channel of Foot Jue Yin.
Gall Bladder Channel of Foot Shao Yang is associated with a gall bladder, a liver and a heart.
