Foot's Absolute Yin Liver Meridian

足厥阴肝经

Channel Path

Liver Channel of Foot Jue Yin starts at the outer side of the big toe (Da Dun LIV. 1), then goes up the base of the foot, located between the first and second metatarsal bones, in front of the medial ankle. Then the channel rises up the front-inner surface of the lower leg, where it connects at Three Yin Intersection point SP.6 with Spleen Channel of Foot Tai Yin and the foot and Kidney Channel of Foot Shao Yin, then it rises along the medial edge of the lower leg and thigh to the inguinal region, meets Spleen Channel of Foot Tai Yin at the points of Chong Men SP.12 and Fu She SP.13. The channel goes around the genitals, rises along the lower abdomen through Qu Gu CV.2, Zhong Ji CV.3 and Guan Yuan CV.4 of Ren Mai vessel, directed to the stomach and enters the related organ-liver and enters the gall bladder.
Rising up, the channel passes through the diaphragm, penetrates into the chest and then goes along the back surface of the trachea and larynx to the soft sky, then follows to the neurovascular bundle of the eyeball, rises to the frontal part of the head and crown to the point of Bai Hui GV.20, where it is connected to Du Mai vessel.
The first branch of the channel departs from the neurovascular bundle of the eyeball, goes down the cheek, then around the mouth.
The second branch goes from the liver, passes the diaphragm, rises, enters the lungs, where it connects to the middle part of the trunk with the Lung Channel of Hand Tai Yin.
Liver Channel of Foot Jue Yin is associated with liver, gall bladder, stomach, lungs, and brain.
