Posterior to the ear, along a curved line drawn from Tianchong GB.9 to Wangu GB.12 running within the hairline and more or less parallel to the line of the rim of the ear, in a depression slightly greater than two thirds of the distance between Tianchong GB.9 and Wangu GB.12. The line runs along the edge of the mastoid process.

Indications

- 5 holes diseases: ringing of the ears, pain in the ears, hearing loss, pain in the temporal region, headache, inflammation of the throat, bitterness in the mouth, ringing of the ears, discharge from the nose with itching, dizziness (one of the variants of Minier's disease, Shao Yang syndrome).
- Features: convulsions of the limbs, paresis of the lower extremities after a stroke, a feeling of intense heat in the palms and soles, feeling of fullness and encircling pain in the hypochondrium, paresthesia in the hands and feet.

Needling Method

Puncture subcutaneously obliquely posteriorly at an angle of 45 degrees 0.5-0.7 cun.
