On the lateral aspect of the lower leg, 7 cun superior to the prominence of the lateral malleolus, at the anterior border of the fibula.

Functions

Subdues liver, regulates Qi, unblocks channels and collaterals.

Indications

- Channel diseases: pain and convulsions in the calf muscles and on the outer surface of Shin, numbness and weakness in the lower limbs, muscle atrophy, a chest congestion, headache in the temples, neck stiffness.
- Features: malarial cold fit, intoxication in the setting of injury, "cock" breasts in children.

Needling Method

Puncture perpendicularly 1 - 1.5 cun. Cauterization.
