Localization

In the hollow on the lateral side of the orbital margin, approximately 0.5 cun lateral to the outer canthus. On the zygomatic bone at the orbit the deepening is palpated.

Functions

Expels wind, cleans heat, clears eyes, removes pain.

Intersection

The point of intersection of the Gall Bladder Channel of Foot Shao Yang, Small Intestine channel of Hand Tai Yang and San Jiao Channel of Hand Shao Yang.

Indications

- Eye disease: nearsightedness, eye redness, watery eye, cataract, crossed eyes, inconsistency of the movement of the eyeballs, decrement in visual acuity, night blindness, pain and eye itching, optic atrophy, conjunctivitis, color blindness, walleye.

Needling Method

Puncture obliquely at an angle of 10 degrees posteriorly toward the point of Tai Yang PC.9 0.3-0.5 cun.
