Restores Qi circulation to the liver, subdues liver, adds the blood to the liver, benefits the eyes, calms the mind.
- Liver diseases: bursting pain in sides and hypochondrium, bouts of anger, dysmenorrhea, severe headache, eye redness, bitterness in the mouth, tinnitus, hemoptysis, numbness of the limbs, convulsions, abdominal distension, jaundice, nausea, vomiting.
- 5 holes diseases: decrement in visual acuity, eye redness (the empty syndrome of the liver), wall eye (lack of Yin liver), the ingrowth of blood vessels in the sclera, lack of Yin liver and kidney), conjunctivitis, dark circles around the eyes, watering eyes in the wind, headache with dizziness, headache in the temples.
- Digestive system: profuse diarrhea, "bear disease", cholestasis, decreased appetite.
