Localization

At the back of the knee, on the popliteal crease, in a depression midway between the tendons of biceps femoris and semitendinosus. The point is located outside of the popliteal neurovascular bundle.

Functions

Restores patency in collaterals, straightens tendons, cleans heat, expels wind-dampness, strengthens the lower back.

Indications

- Channel diseases: back pain of any etiology, pain in the knee joints, lumbalgia.
- Digestive system: vomiting, epigastric pain, diarrhea.
- Disorders of the mind: condition after stroke, epilepsy with post-tension in the lower limbs.
- Urinary system: uracrasia.
- Skin diseases: eczema, external genitals itching.
- Features: sexual arousal, no sweating at high temperature (when manipulating the needle by the "Bu" method, the pores are closed), sunstroke, heat stroke, nasal hemorrhage, sore throat in the setting of high temperature, nymphomania, mastopathy, hemorrhoids.

Needling Method

Puncture perpendicularly 0.5 - 0.7 cun. Cauterization in an exceptional case, with cold blood.
