Localization

1.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the tenth thoracic vertebra.

Functions

Restores the circulation of Qi liver, expels heat and eliminates moisture.

Indications

- Gallbladder and liver diseases: pain in the hypochondrium and ribs with swelling, jaundice, mouth bitterness, severe headache, cholestasis, swelling in axillary region, swelling in neck region.
- Eye disease: eye redness, feeling of sand in eyes, headache in the temples.
- Digestive system: violation of intestinal motility, abdominal pain with a feeling of fullness.

Needling Method

Puncture obliquely 5 cun to the side of the spine. Cauterization.
