Localization

1.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the fourth thoracic vertebra.

Functions

Restores Qi, widens chest, quiets the spirit.

Indications

- Heart disease: a feeling of compression in the chest, pain in the heart, heart palpitations, pericarditis.
- Digestive system: abdominal pain accompanied by vomiting.
- Disorders of the mind: anxiety, irritability, depression.
- Features: cough with phlegm, vomiting, pain in the teeth with a feeling of fullness(stagnation of Qi in the setting of heat).

Needling Method

Puncture obliquely 5 cun to the side of the spine. Cauterization.
