Meaning

Blood is splattered in the middle of the third finger. The point is located on the middle finger for acupuncture and depletion.

Localization

On the radial side of the middle finger, about 0.1 cun posterior to the corner of the nail bed.

Functions

Indications

- 5 holes’ diseases: ringing in the ears (the full syndrome of lifting up Liver Yang), rigidity of the tongue, swelling under the tongue, headache.
- Cardiovascular system: heartbeat and heart pain in the heart against the rise of Liver Yang, Qi and heat.
- Digestive system: stomachache with vomiting and diarrhea.
- Disorders of the mind: anxiety and qualms, faintness, convulsive disorders in children, night terrors in children.
- Critical condition: faintness, coma, sunstroke, convulsions caused by high fevers, apoplexy.
- Features: fever with high temperature, hypertension, pre-stroke condition in the setting of the lifting up Liver Yang.

Needling Method

Puncture perpendicularly 0.1 cun. Triangular needle to let some blood. Cauterization.
