On the radial side of the index finger distal to the 2nd metacarpophalangeal joint in a depression at the border of the red and white skin. The point is found at slightly bent wrist of the fist.

Functions

Expels wind and heat, disperses dampness in the middle burner (Zhong jiao), promotes mouth and throat.

Indications

- 5 holes diseases: bleeding, any sore throat, inflammation with throat swollen mucosa, inflammation associated with heat: stomatopathy, toothache, scleral icterus, pain at the outer corner of the eye, decrement in visual acuity.
- Digestive system: acute dysentery-like diarrhea, blood in the stool, tenesmus.
- Channel diseases: pain in the hand, paresthesia.
- Features: acute back pain, drowsiness, dry throat, high temperature, used in conditions of heat in the body without sweat.

Needling Method

Puncture perpendicularly 0.3 cun.
