Indications

- Respiratory system: the high temperature in the setting of lung heat, dry cough, dyspnea, a feeling of fullness in the chest, asthma, emphysema, fear of cold amid the emptiness of the heart and lungs, fatigue.
- Surface wind-heat syndrome: little cold fit, fever, dry mouth, thirst with preference for cold drinks.
- Disease with the properties of Yin deficiency: night sweats, dry mouth, hot flashes to the head in the afternoon, red cheeks.
- Disorders of the mind: opistotonus (flu, meningitis), epilepsy, convulsions, apoplexy, heat stroke.
- Channel diseases: pain in the spine, tension of the muscles of the cervico-occipital area and the shoulder blade.
- Features: upper body rash, jaundice.

Needling Method

Puncture obliquely upward 0.5 - 1 cun. Cauterization.
