Localization

On the dorsal aspect of the thumb, at the junction of lines drawn along the radial border of the nail and the base of the nail, approximately 0.1 cun from the corner of the nail.

Functions

Unblocks channels, eliminates Qi flow in lungs, promotes the throat, eliminates Qi flow of fire in all internal organs.

Indications

- Respiratory system: high temperature, cough with yellow sputum, nasal congestion.
- Affection of the throat: sore throat.
- Critical condition: loss of consciousness, heat stroke, heart attack in the setting of heat.
- Features: allergic rash, mumps, toothache, ringing of the ears, used in diseases due to lungs heat.

Needling Method

Puncture perpendicularly 0.1 cun. Triangular needle to let some blood. Cauterization.
