Localization

On the medial side of the ankle, in the depression which lies at the junction of straight lines drawn along the anterior and inferior borders of the medial malleolus. The projection of the point is located in the recess at the lower edge of the cruciate ligament of the tibia, between the lower edge of the medial ankle and the scaphoid bone.

Functions

Strengthens the spleen, removes stagnation.

Indications

- Digestive system: pain in the stomach, abdominal distension with increased gas formation,loss of appetite, digestive disorders, diarrhea, constipation. The diseases are associated with the syndrome of emptiness of spleen Yang.
- Respiratory system: dyspnea, cough with abundance of phlegm, whooping cough.
- Reproductive system: infertility (emptiness of blood, Qi emptiness), dysmenorrhea, metrorrhagia, habitual abortion, copious leucorrhoea.
- Disorders of the mind: excitement and convulsions in children, sadness, restless sleep with nightmares, lethargy, drowsiness, epilepsy in the setting of emptiness.
- Localized diseases: spasm of the calf muscles, pain in the foot, pain and swelling in the medial ankle (Yang void, spleen Qi).
- Features: hemorrhoids, loss of nodes, tongue stiffness (pre-stroke conditions), varicose veins with pain along the vessels, poor circulation in the leg, the distortion of the foot, stimulates the release of erythrocytes in anemia; convulsions with an excess of insulin, reaching the coma.

Needling Method

Puncture perpendicularly 0.2- 0.3 cun. Cauterization.
