Localization

On the dorsum of the wrist, at the level of the wrist joint, in the depression between the tendons of extensor digitorum communis and extensor digiti minimi. The point is projected to the lower edge of the junction of the ulna and radius, between the tendons of the extensor fingers and extensor little finger.

Functions

Dispels wind, heat cleans,straightens tendons, restores patency in the collaterals.

Indications

- Channel diseases: motor and sensitive disorders in the arm, pain in the shoulder, wrist joints and forearm, weakness in the wrist joint.
- 5 holes diseases: deafness, tinnitus, eye redness with swelling, sore throat.
- Digestive system: food stagnation in children with diarrhea or constipation, dry mouth, thirst.
- Urinary system: uracrasia.
- Features: sweating with heat inside, diabetes mellitus, headache. Qi adjustment in Shang Jiao, Zhong Jiao, Xia Jiao depending on the direction of the needle by the location of the three Jiao.

Needling Method

Puncture perpendicularly 0.3 - 0.5 cun. Cauterization.
