The point of the Hand Yang Ming Channel relating to the metal.

Localization

On the radial side of the index finger, about 0.1 cun posterior to the corner of the nail;at the junction of lines drawn along the radial border of the nail and the base of the nail.

Functions

Clears heat, favors dissemination of the interfacial syndrome, cleanses lungs, promotes the nose and throat.

Indications

- Channel diseases: pain in shoulder joint that radiates to the supraclavicular fossa (Quepen ST.12).
- Ear diseases: ringing of the ears, deafness.
- Affection of the throat: swollen mucosa pain in the throat with fever symptoms.
- Dental diseases: stomatopathy, toothache.
- Respiratory system: cough, dyspnea, tightness of the chest.
- Digestive system: acute dysentery-like diarrhea with a sense of fever.
- Critical condition: faints, convulsive syndrome in the setting of heat, apoplexy, heat stroke, returns the " leaving Yang"
- Features: removes heat of Yang Ming syndrome, used in diseases with the properties of heat (general bloodletting).

Needling Method

Puncture perpendicularly 0.1 cun; prick to bleed with a three-edged needle.
